Und Gretel is another cosmetic brand we deserve. They are a great option for those who support a thoughtful and modern way of living, embracing the organic and natural origins of the products used. If we tend to think twice about how we live and what we eat, why not also pay attention to what we apply to our skin? Well, many would argue that while it's reasonable to use organic makeup in this case, not many of the options available show impressive results.

This is exactly what we are trying to figure out today with Und Gretel, and while some of the tested products performed up to very high standards others were not that impressive at all. So let's find out how they all work!

1. LIETH FOUNDATION, € 49,50.  Available in five colours, it is a fully vegan product. It comes in a glass container with a plastic pump and can be easily screwed off from the glass. You get a good amount of the product (30mL), which is what you would usually expect when purchasing a foundation. The product is thick in consistency and applies to the skin best with a beauty blender. Application with a brush is trickier as can lead to streaky finish. It is full coverage and what is concluded upon the experience, does not cake up on the skin by the end of the day. It looks very natural and works with other products very well. The scent is typical of organic foundations, so is not heavy and even pleasant.

PROs: full coverage, wears great, looks natural • CONs: tricky to apply, only 5 shades available

2. TUNKAL CONCEALER, € 39,00. Available in three shades, fully vegan as well. It has a medium consistency, but shows medium to full coverage. It can be built up and layered. Comes in a pen brush applicator, which many may like, while others might feel upset about. You need to twist the black bottom part to push out the product on the brush head. This can lead to pressing out too much product, which is a waste. Can be also worn without foundation, as the product blends in the skin really well. It is not your lightest concealer by any means, but if there is something to cover, it will do a great job. Also it does not cake and wears off naturally without getting patchy.

PROs: good coverage, buildable, does not cake • CONs: pen brush applicator

3. WINT MASCARA, € 34,00. It is a product containing organic bees wax. Comes in two options, black and chestnut. This is one really great mascara for an everyday use and those who opt for a more natural look. It beautifully separates the lashes without leaving a ton of product on them. Apply one layer for a natural finish and add a few more for a bit of drama. Due to the lack of nasty chemicals you will find in many drugstore or even luxury mascaras, this one works really great on sensitive eyes (unless you have an allergy for bees wax). Great product, highly approved and recommended.

PROs: looks natural, not heavy • CONs: not vegan, may not be safe for people with allergies on bees products

4. TINCTE LIQUID EYELINER, € 34,00. Vegan, but yet slightly disappointing. Due to a very personal experience, this product can not be considered one of the favourites so far. While applying the eye liner leeds some skills and sometimes even a calligraphy precision, this product does not help a beginner at all. The applicator is a soft flexible brush which by itself is a challenge to those who are used to stiff liner tips. The other downside is the formula, which unfortunately bleeds on the edges a bit. Well, while a professional would definitely come up with some tricks to use it at it's best, it is not possible to recommend it for a casual user. Sorry, Und Gretel!

PROs: vegan • CONs: soft applicator brush, bleeds

5. KNUTZEN LIPGLOSS, €35,00. Contains lanolin, that's why it's not a vegan product. Nevertheless, it is a gorgeous lip gloss, that is moisturising and nourishing at the same time due to the added Vitamin E. The formula is indeed non-sticky and feels extremely luxurious on the lips. Thick, pigmented and very kissable, comes in a range of eight colours with matte and shimmery finishes. Any girl would need one or two, this is a definite essential and must-have.

PROs: luxurious texture, gorgeous shades, nourishing • CONs: only 8 colours, we want a few dozens more please! :)

6. TAGAROT LIPSTICK, € 40,00. Same as the gloss, it's not vegan because of lanolin. This lipstick is highly pigmented and very easy to apply. Available in 6 colours it still gives a option to play around. You can use it either with your fingers for a giving your lips a soft tint look, or go bold and apply straight from the product. It does not dry the lips due to the avocado oil and really but easy to wipe off. While it's not kiss-proof formula at all, you can still have fun by spreading the kiss-marks around his (or her) cheeks (or elsewhere you wish :)

PROs: pigmented, bold colours • CONs: not kiss-proof
